Local business leaders delivered an ethics-focused message to high school students as part of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin’s Excellence Through Ethics program. The initiative was created to reinforce the importance of ethical decision-making in business and in life.

In response to growing concerns over declining confidence in corporate leadership, Junior Achievement recognized the need to address how ethics are taught to young people. According to a Junior Achievement / Deloitte & Touche USA LLP poll conducted by Harris Interactive, nearly one-third of teens surveyed believed that bending the rules was necessary to succeed.

Greg Liebig, owner of 4-Square Home Inspections, LLC, participated alongside more than 200 CEOs and senior executives statewide. Together, they visited thousands of high school students to discuss responsible decision-making, ethical conduct, and the long-term value of integrity in both personal and professional life.

Using Junior Achievement’s learn-by-doing approach, volunteers shared real-world experiences and encouraged open discussion about ethics in school, work, and everyday situations.

Community volunteers play a critical role in Junior Achievement programs by bringing practical experience into the classroom. Ethics and responsibility have long been core components of Junior Achievement’s curriculum.
